If you're looking for the classic Southern California experience, it's all waiting for you at UC Riverside. We're right here in the middle of it all - just a short drive from some of the most exciting and interesting places on earth! Go surfing, snowboarding, shopping, sightseeing, and lots of other activities that begin with the letter "S."
But you don't even have to leave campus to find interesting and entertaining things to do. Attend a concert or dance recital at our Fine Arts Center. Don't miss our Block Party (in the fall), our Spring Splash (in the spring), or our HEAT Music Festival (in the winter). Past HEAT performances include Mos Def, 311, Taking Back Sunday, Shiny Toy Guns, Moby, and Lupe Fiasco.
Sports fans, come out and support our athletic teams, including the Big West Champion women's basketball and men's baseball teams. And UCR's Student Recreation Center features a state-of-the-art weight room and fitness center. You can take classes in aerobics, yoga, jazz dance, self-defense, and karate, to name only a few. Or get out! Outdoor Excursions has frequent trips to the great outdoors for camping, rock climbing, sailing and more! Check it out at the Student Recreation Center Web site.
And if you just want to grab a bite to eat and maybe see a movie, University Village is just a short walk from campus, and The Riverside Plaza, The Tyler Mall, Victoria Gardens, and Ontario Mills are all just a short drive away!
