You're not alone. That's an important thing to remember as you make the leap from high school to your new life here at UCR. Because it can be difficult to adjust. Particularly when it comes to academics.
That's why we've created groups of supportive freshman students called First Year Learning Communities. Students in these small groups all take similar courses, form study groups, and help each other succeed. It's a great way to meet people with similar interests, form friendships, and explore your major and your career options. And who knows? The experience might even lead to a higher GPA.
